Art at Christ Church
At Christ Church Primary School we are in the process of developing a new curriculum offer in line with our school vision and curriculum intent. We are working with an art advisor to create bespoke units of work that link to the themes of our English lesson texts and other subjects and that will provide a rich and diverse range of artists to inspire each class. This new curriculum will enable all pupils to develop their skills and techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, printing, textiles and photography.

Arts Festival
In the summer term, we hold our Arts Festival to celebrate the music, art and design work that the children have engaged in throughout the year. Art work and DT projects are displayed, musicians perform and the choir sings. Parents and Carers are invited into the school to join us for the celebration and to see the wonderful artwork their children have created.
Art Outside
Our pupils have great opportunities to take their art learning outside through Forest School, Outdoor Week and through units of work that involve collecting resources or creating artwork from the local environment.
